Dialogue / Content Dialogue is relevant to the topic, giving insight to the character's emotion and intent as well as the setting. Voice is clear and expressive. Dialogue is relevant to the topic, expressing the character's emotion and intent. Voice is clear and understandable. Dialogue is relevant to the topic. Transitions between speakers are choppy and there are many unnecessary pauses in the speaking. Dialogue is vague and / or inappropriate to the topic. Voice is too soft to be heard and words are spoken too fast.
Fluency The scene moves smoothly from moment to moment. Actors expand and explore ideas. Actors are clearly focused and committed to the emotion and purpose. The actors express emotion and purpose. Actors sustain the scene, with some distraction caused by mistakes. The actions of the scene are clear. Focus is demonstrated as well as disrupted during parts of the scene. Actors are unprepared for new events in the scene. The actions of the scene are unclear. Actors are unaware of actions from moment to moment. Actors may laugh or direct others.
Ideas and Content Actors clearly communicate knowledge of topic.  Actors demonstrate knowledge of the topic. Actors demonstrate basic knowledge of the topic. Actors demonstrate inaccurate knowledge of the topic.
