Jupiter was king of the Gods. His weapon was the Thunderbolt (thunder and lightning). All other gods were terrified of him, although he was a little scared of his wife Juno!

ACLU TAKES OVER TERROR INVESTIGATION, WILL
FOCUS ATTENTION ON NO ONE IN PARTICULAR

I enjoyed this article. It really puts the point across reallly well. The fact that this could happen is hopefully obsurd. This really does bring the important light of the fact that profing is not wrong it is the way to get bad people. If someone robs a store at gun point you’re not going to go to the rich first, you goto the people who would normally do it.

Frustrated teens are said to have finding new and creative ways to be made fun of. This newest trend is actually gaining momentum and it is called “emo.” First you ask what is this emo thing. Well it is pretty much being goth and punk, which are fads that recently died out. These were the last vestiges of a rock fad that become inbred and created “emo.”
The first step is to maintain the inner “emo” and let it radiate out. Doing this one needs to of course listen to music. You need to take this one step at a time and listen in moderation. Excessive listen may cause suicide
The second step into becoming a full-fledged “emo” is to reflect the darkness on your outside. First you must realize that the main theme of “emo” is to be a non-conformist. Now to become this “non-conformist” is to dress in black like everyone else. Also retaining ridiculously long bangs is a must. So basically look at all the other of millions of “emos” around the world and copy them exactly, to become “non-conformist”.
The third step is choice of friends. Its very simple they look exactly like you and talk with a monotone voice with a lisp.

This fourth and final step is basically pulling it all together with some small minor details added to this “emo” spirit. You must love darkness… all and everything black is your best friend, and you must think pink is a wicked awesome color. You have to hate your parents, they are just conformist in this large world of conformity. Cutting yourself is a key factor in “emo”. “Emo” kids cut themselves, not to die, but simply to prove to the conformists that they are different. Last, but certainly not least, you must hate life, life is evil, life is cruel, and life is like life.
On an unrelated story teen suicide is up.

I love your topic. This was very well written. I am realizing sarcasm is a must in this sort of writing and I do believe that you have nailed it head on. In all honesty I don’t think that I would change anything in this paper. Thank you for your comments Jupiter, and good luck.

Walking through a normal high school one day Mike Patterson realizes one thing. In order for him to be different he must be exactly like everyone else. He says to himself “What could I do to be original and myself?” The question bothering him he goes over to a group of students.
The group he sees is being semi-original all listening to music called rap. These people are the soldiers in the oppression against violence, drugs, waste and the government. Their music talks of saving their girlfriends from having to talk. They ask of one another to fight for just causes like defending drug use, and extreme violence. He decides to himself that this just group was just not him.
Looking around he sees another group. This group was dressed entirely in color, and listening to what appeared to be Bob Marley. They were protesting the government and the apparent unjustness of it. They say “We support the troops…always they need to be sent home.” Then they chant “NO WAR is just.” Going on another angry rant they say using animals for saving human lives it pain for the animal that is too great. Screaming they say “PEACE” and overturn tables. He thinks to himself they may be right. I could see myself doing this, yet he is still curious.
Turning around he sees a group of kids sitting. They say “Life is full of pain.” They are playing their new Game Boys while saying this. “I hate my parents; THEY keep me down and alone.” Pulling out a sharp smooth blade they cut themselves. The blood trickles to the floor as they frown from the happiness and exuberance they feel. They sit with bags under their eyes saying “I hate George Bush and the government.”
Even more confused he runs to a table. Sitting at it are the most original group. They say “Animal testing saves lives of humans.” “Women are not to be treated as possessions.” Ranting further they say “WE have a voluntary army, people want to join it!” Yet they agreed that life was pain. They did say “It’s just how you go about dealing with it.”
As Mike turns around he realizes that everyone is around this table. All these other groups he saw were screaming at this table. They do not stop talking even though there is so many against them. “The government is evil.” The opposition groups chant. “It does nothing for its people!” says the groups in the public school building. Mike realizes that these groups stemmed from one original idea…hate the government unwaveringly. He thinks that maybe then that’s the way to help everything and be himself. The table he was by still did not stop saying what they thought. They continually back their statements with fact. They say one thing that stuns these people “To be try to be original will make you like everyone else; to try to be yourself will make you like you, no one else.” These groups of original people quite. Mike looks at this table and realizes that the table he was talking to looked all the same too. They said “What you wear is nothing and means nothing.” He realizes that every one of the people at this table had a different opinion on things and disagreed.” Mike confused asks “How can you get along.” They answer “Respect.” Mike mumbles “Respect?” They say “We respect one another for who they are, but we don’t have to agree with their opinion.”
Mike Patterson went home that day thinking that he did want to be like himself. So he started talking to that table.

I like this version better than the first. There is more of a story line to it. It makes it more interesting. I do believe that this is what a satire should be. Good job Jupiter.

Walking through a normal, plain, everyday high school day Mike Patterson realizes one thing. Mike wonders exactly what could make everyone like him. In order for him to do this he needs to be different; he must be exactly like everyone else. He says to himself “What could I do to be original and myself?” The question bothering him he goes over to a group of students.
The first group he sees is being original all listening to music called rap. These people are the soldiers in the oppression against violence, drugs, and waste because of the government. Their music talks of saving their girlfriends from having to talk, by beating them. They ask of one another to fight for just causes like defending drug use, and extreme violence. They were many people in this group, yet he did not like the pants sagging and sideways hats. He then decides that this group was just not him.
Looking around he sees another group. This group was dressed entirely in color, and listening to what appeared to be Bob Marley, or maybe Pink Floyd. (Mike said he had vague recollections of this happening.) They were protesting the government and the apparent unjustness of it, in this public building. They say “We support the troops…always.” The also chant “, but they need to be sent home.” Then they chant “NO WAR is just.” Going on another angry rant they say something about using animals for saving human lives is pain for the animal. Screaming they say “PEACE” and overturn tables. He thinks to himself they may be right. I could see myself doing this, yet he is still curious.
Turning around he sees a group of kids sitting in the dark shadows. They say monotonous “Life is full of pain.” They are playing their old school Game Boys while saying this. “I hate my parents; THEY keep me down and alone.” Pulling out a sharp smooth blade they cut themselves. The blood trickles to the floor as they frown from the happiness and exuberance they feel. They sit with bags under their eyes saying “I hate George Bush and the government.” Mike is confused and hears a screaming. He is told it is their music. He likes the black, but not their personality.
Even more confused he runs to a table. Sitting at it is the most original group. They say everything that makes sense. Mike is confused.
As Mike turns around he realizes that everyone is around this table. The rest of the school is at their heels. All these other groups were screaming at this table. They do not stop talking even though there is so many against them. “The government is evil.” The opposition groups chant. “It does nothing for its people!” says the groups in the public school building. Mike realizes that these groups stemmed from one original idea…hate the government unwaveringly. He realizes that everything he heard was stemmed from an even more original idea, even a nonconformist idea. Go with what everyone else says do NOT look at the facts. Mike thinks that maybe that’s the way to help everything and be he. The table he was by still did not stop saying what they thought. They continually back their statements with fact. The ranting quieted, but was not entirely dismissed. They say one thing that stuns these people “To be try to be original will make you like everyone else; to try to be yourself will make you like you, no one else.” These groups of original people quite, entirely. Mike looks at this table and realizes that the table he was talking to was all dressed the same too. “Could these people be original to being dressed the same. They said “What you wear is nothing and means nothing.” He realizes that every one of the people were not the same at this table. They had different opinions on things and disagreed.” Mike confused asks “How can you get along, how can they be friends and likeable.” They answer “Respect.” Mike mumbles “Respect?” They say “We respect one another for who they are, but we don’t have to agree with their opinion.” Mike realizes that all the people he says look and acted the same; these people instead flocked to people who were not quite the same. He realizes to be original it is not best to conform your ideas to your friends and outfits. To be true to yourself, one must allow difference and be open, in friends and ideas. The table says to him “Support with facts, back it with disagreement…NOW that is the way to be original.”
