Graphomaniac English Teachers: Teachers Utilizing Writing with Emerging Technology
Come join us as we share our journey to OZ (action research). We will reveal the path down the yellow brick road where we are exploring the course of a scholar’s journey. The trip isn't completed, but we have met some very interesting characters along the way. The Cowardly Lion, gaining courage and confidence, believes he can now learn how to refine his revision skills; the Tin Man, no longer heartless and stubborn, believes he can refine his editing skills; and the poor scarecrow, once brainless and lacking direction, now has more confidence in his writing intellect and skips on the path to becoming a proficient writer. You may ask what has motivated these creatures in Oz. Well, on the OZ path is emerging technology such as wireless slates, SMART Boards, iPods, and other technological goodies that seem to entice, strengthen, and inspire, struggling creatures who once felt brainless, afraid, and heartless (turned-off) concerning their writing abilities. We invite you to participate in our wonderfully wild and crazy adventure! Action Research provided by: Lin Robinson and Cynthia Urbach
